The Beginning

I think today is the day, here I go.

I have written the first article of this blog a long time ago, then didn’t post it.

I have then created this whole website to post this article, then didn’t use it.

I have wanted to talk about this project to everyone around me, then didn’t share it.

I have thought about how I want to get on with this every day for the past 6 months, then didn’t do it.

Throughout the months and the days, my vision about what this was and what this was going to be changed quite a lot, and to be honest, I am thankful I didn’t post my first article.

It has allowed me to show up today more authentically, with a clearer sense of where I (we!!) am (are!!) going.

My name is C., I am just a human girl living in Geneva, Switzerland, experiencing human things, and committed to becoming the best version of herself, for me and for others.

I will share more later about myself, about how I got here, and where I want to go (you are coming with me too, btw).

Today, I am officially starting my blog to take you along with me on my journey to feel of self-reflection, discovery, questions, mistakes, highs and lows.

Initially, this blog was meant to write about joy, and how to find it, foster it, grow it, spread it in your everyday life. But I couldn’t get on with it. Something was bothering me, and I realised what I was trying to achieve was bigger than that, but somehow simpler.

I want to find peace.

Peace with myself, peace with others, peace with the past, with the present and the future.

I want to learn how to live my life peacefully in sunny days, stormy days, normal days, great days, shitty days.

I want to uncover what makes us think the way we think, live the way we live, what keeps us from being truly at peace and present.

In summary: how to live a happier life, purposefully.

What you can expect coming here, is honest experience sharing, reflections about topics that I thought were interesting, exercises, book recommendations, and hopefully, at some point, a listening ear, shoulder to cry on, encouraging community that is here to show you that you are not alone.

I’ll try to post at least an article a week, based on the topic I feel like discussing, and will also share pictures or things that made me happy during the past week – that I hope will make you smile too, with the heart, the eyes or the teeth, you do you.

Until then, don’t hesitate to leave a comment below and share anything that made your heart happy.

Thank you for reading, let’s do this.

Your committed C.
